The Food Task Force of Central Java Inspects The Livestock in the Region to Prevent FMD

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Semarang. The Food Task Force of the Central Java Police (Polda Jateng) and the relevant stakeholders carried out inspections on farms and animal markets. This check is to anticipate and prevent the spread of foot and mouth disease (FMD).

Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of the Central Java Police (Polda Jateng), Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Alqudusy, S.H., said from the monitoring results, the Food Task Force and a joint team found dozens of cows in Mojosongo Boyolali, Jatinom Animal Market, and a cattle farm in Taman Pemalang sub-district infected with FMD.

Kabid Humas Polda Jateng revealed that the joint Task Force had also agreed to form a post for the community who want to report their livestock who infected with FMD.

"Based on these findings, the Food Task Force and a joint team from the Agriculture Service provided antibiotics, vitamins, and sprayed disinfectant in the livestock cages," explained Kabid Humas Polda Jateng.

The joint task force also conveyed an appeal to farmers so that animals that have been infected with FMD are contained in another place. The purpose of isolation is so as not to infect other livestock.
