South Sulawesi Police Inspects the Hospital Who Still Displayed Syrup Drugs

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Makassar.   The Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the South Sulawesi Police carried out monitoring and review on a number of pharmacies, drug stores, and hospitals in the city of Makassar, which still displayed syrup drugs for children. The review was carried out because they contained DIELITYLEN GLICOL and ETYLENE, Friday (21/10/22).

This check is to follow up on the recommendation from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia to avoid using syrup for children because it contains DIELITYLEN GLICOL and ethylene, which are suspected of causing acute kidney failure in children and can even lead to death.

In their review, the police inspects Hermina hospital and Apotek K-24 on Toddopuli Timur street in Makassar City.

During the review, police officers managed to find a number of syrup drugs including, Termorex Syrup, Flurine DMP Syrup, Unibebi Cough Syrup, Unibebi Fever Syrup, Unibebi Fever Drops.
