Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Director General of Disease Prevention and Control (Dirjen P2P) of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, dr. Maxi Rein Rondonuwu said that the stock of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine was confirmed to be safe following the delivery of 5 million doses to meet the vaccine needs in Indonesia.

"Pfizer stock is still sufficient. There are 5 million more that will send to us, then we still have a million in the region, so in total there are 6 million," said dr. Maxi Rein Rondonuwu quoted from beritasatu.com, Friday (11/11/22).

Maxi said that as many as 2.5 million doses were distributed to provinces as well as districts and cities. Meanwhile, the remaining 2.5 million doses are kept at the center as a buffer stock, so that if there are regions that need them, the government can distribute them quickly.

"The average vaccinations per day is currently rising up, from previously 30 thousand to 70 thousand per day. So, if you look at a stock of 5 to 6 million, it can take up to 100 days," said the Director General of Disease Prevention and Control.

He also said that his party will soon distribute the IndoVac vaccine for use by the public, both as a primary vaccine and as a booster vaccine.
