Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Ahead of the G20 Summit on November 15-16, security at the entrance and exit of Bali has begun to be tightened. Even the Bali Police from the ranks of the Resort Police have formed a special Task Force. Everyone and their belongings are subject to strict inspection by the police.
Bali Police Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto, on Wednesday (28/9/22) said that the five largest entrances in Bali, namely I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Padangbai Port, Benoa Harbor, Gilimanuk Port, to Celukan Bawang Port are strictly guarded by the police personnel. In addition to the five major entrances, they also monitors small (traditional) ports that have the potential to become a place for criminals to enter.
According to the Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, the tightening of all entrances and exits to Bali is to ensure the safety and security situation ahead of the G20 Summit on November 15-16, 2022.
“Several G20 side events continue to be held in Bali. Even now, the security of the Agriculture Minister Meeting (AMM) is underway in the Jimbaran area, "explained the Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police.
He said that securing the G20 Summit involved all elements of the security forces. The National Police will deploy thousands of personnel who will later be involved in the 2022 Puri Agung Operation.
"In addition to the security forces, we also expect the role of the community to help monitor and maintain security in their respective area so bad things won't happen," explained the Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police.
The security system for the entire series of G20 activities uses an open and closed system, by taking preemptive, preventive and repressive actions. Meanwhile, the security pattern divides the activity location into 3 zones and rings 1, 2, and 3.
