Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Metro Jaya Regional Police continue to investigate the case of celebrity Clara Shinta, whose vehicle was forcefully repossessed by debt collectors a few weeks ago. The incident has caused public concern, with numerous citizens expressing worry about the actions of debt collectors.

“People are actually worried, but they’re afraid to report (the irresponsible acts by debt collectors) due to the threats they have received from them. However, since this case went viral, we have received reports and recordings from many people about the threats,” said the Director of General Crime Investigation Police Senior Superintendent Hengki Haryadi on Sunday (26/2/23).

He urged the public to immediately report any violence or threat by debt collectors and assured that the police will take stern action against the thuggeries.

“We have coordinated with the criminal justice system, including prosecutors, to protect the complainants. The public has our assurance that any acts of thuggery that have caused them worry will not go unanswered,” he concluded.
