The Lampung regional police have improved their security following the suicide bombing at the Astana Anyar Police, Bandung, West Java, Wednesday (12/8). They tighten their security at the entrances that will thoroughly inspects the people who will enter the HQ.
Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police, Commissioner Zahwani Pandra Arsyad explained that the security tightening was carried out by increasing the number of personnel guarding the HQs including at the Police dormitory.
"We ensure that the security tightening will be going on an ongoing basis. We should not let our guard down while maintaining our pre-emptive and preventive approach" said Commissioner Zahwani, quoted from rri.co.id, Thursday (12/8).
The Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police also said that early detection and raising community awareness must be carried out. Although they have tightened the security, his party guarantees that Police's services to the public will not be disrupted.
"As a member of the National Police, we have to be a protector and guardian of the community, and continue to provide services to the community," explained Commissioner Zahwani.
