After The Discovery of FMD in Mojosongo, Polda Jateng Warned the Cattle Farmers

The Food Task Force Team of the Central Java Police (Polda Jateng) warned cattle farmers in Boyolali after the discovery of mouth and nail disease (FMD) in Mojosongo, last week. Handling has also been carried out by the task force and a joint team from the Boyolali Agriculture Service by providing antibiotics, vitamins and spraying disinfectants in the cattle pens. Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Jateng, Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Alqudusy, S.H., S.I.K., appealed to cattle breeders to separate livestock infected with FMD from the others.

"It must be isolated, so as not to infect other livestock," said Kabid Humas Polda Jateng, Monday (16/5) afternoon.

Both parties also agreed to form a Command Post for people who wants to report the infected livestock with FMD. Meanwhile, Surakarta Police Chief, Commissioner Ade Safri Simanjuntak, S.I.K., M.Sc., explained that his party had taken steps to monitor the FMD.

The Surakarta Police Food Task Force team has checked the goat market in the Kliwon Market Area and the slaughterhouse. Based on their inspection, there has been no FMD outbreak.

"Currently, we are monitoring the traffic of animal trade coming to the city of Solo. Do not let the livestock infected with PMK to be consumed by the public," he concluded.
