Police Examined 29 Witnesses Related to the Riot in Kanjuruhan Stadium

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jatim.  To uncover the tragedy that happened in Kanjuruhan, a team of investigators from the joint investigation team of the East Java Police and the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police had examined 29 witnesses. Of these 29 witnesses, 23 of them were police officers and six were witnesses at the scene.

Head of the Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said that the examination materials for the 29 witnesses included technical matters, such as preparation for the implementation of matches, security, to contingency and emergency plans.

"The witnesses examined consisted of the police officers, the organizing committee, and the surrounding community," explained the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo in Jakarta, Monday (4/10/2022).

The two-star general added the National Police Forensic Laboratory team is still investigating six CCTV from doors 3, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.

They also, held laboratory tests for blood droplets that they found at doors 11 to 13. Investigator's examination of evidence using the scientific investigation method approach.

Currently, the Professional and Security Division of the National Police is still continuing to investigate 29 members involved in securing the match, especially those related to Police Operational Management (MOK).

After that, the Police will hold an open case to raise the status from investigative audit to examination.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police said that 125 people had died and 467 were injured. Of these, 408 people suffered minor injuries, 38 moderately injured, and 21 seriously injured.

"There are 59 injured victims who are currently being treated in 10 hospitals," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police.
