The Deputy Chief of the West Sulawesi Police explained that the preparation was aimed to anticipate the occurrence of disturbances during the election
"This rally is to ensure the readiness of personnel as well as other facilities and infrastructure, so that in the future we can anticipate any turmoil that arises quickly and precisely," explained the One-Star General, quoted from Wargata.com, Monday (24/10/22).
The West Sulawesi Regional Police will start training on city security systems and build cooperation with relevant agencies to ensure that the elections from the initial stages to the inauguration of the elected candidates can run safely and smoothly.
Police Brigadier General Umar Faroq emphasized that the police will provide tight security in vital objects, such as KPU and Bawaslu.
It was informed that for the West Sulawesi Regional Police, 1,693 two-wheeled units, 259 four-wheeled units, 53 six-wheeled units including tactical vehicles, and 12 ships have been prepared.
