Securing the Demonstrations of Fuel Price, Metro Jaya Police Deployed Around 6,000 Personnel

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta.   The Metro Jaya Police deployed around 6,000 personnel to guard and oversee the demonstration against the fuel price in Monday. It is scheduled that several elements of society will hold rally against the increase in fuel prices.

"To strengthen our security, 6,142 personnel were deployed at three different locations," explained the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Endra Zulpan to the media, Monday (12/09/22).

According to the Intermediate Officer of Metro Jaya Police, the thousands of personnel were deployed in the Horse Statue Area, DPR-MPR Building, and DKI Jakarta City Hall.

“We focused our security in the Horse Statue Area and around the DPR-MPR Building,” said the 1995 Akabri graduate.

Previously, PA 212 and other community organizations planned to hold a rally in front of the State Palace regarding the increase in fuel prices. Police then will close several roads to anticipate the demonstrations.
