Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russian President Vladimir Putin had opened the door for negotiations with Ukraine regarding aggression in that country.

"The President of the Republic of the Russian Federation will keep the door open for negotiations to ensure our interests and is open to the opportunity to resolve the conflict with Ukraine," Peskov said in response to the opportunity for negotiations, quoted by Reuters, Friday (12/2).

Meanwhile Biden said that he’s ready to open up a space for dialogue with Putin regarding the crisis on the condition that Russia must first withdraw its troops from Ukraine.

Responding to Biden's statement, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia would not withdraw its troops as the US had requested. He emphasized that Putin has absolutely no regrets about carrying out the aggression which they call a special military operation in Ukraine.
