Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Metro Jaya Police planned to add another 70 static ETLE cameras in Jakarta in year 2023. Head of Accident Subdirectorate of Metro Jaya Police Traffic Unit, Commissioner Edy Purwanto said this step was taken because ETLE is considered effective in taking action against traffic violations.
“In 2023, there will be a grants from DKI Jakarta Government who will give us 70 static ETLE cameras,” said Commissioner Edy quoted from pewarta.co.id, Tuesday (11/22).
He continued that currently, there are only 57 static ETLE cameras that has been planted in Jakarta. Police planned to install the additional 70 static cameras in different locations that haven’t been monitored yet.
“We have coordinated about this matter. Hopefully the government would accept our proposal,” concluded Commissioner Edy.
