Medan Police Burns the Evidence of 84 Kg of Dried Marijuana

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Medan The Medan Police Drugs Investigation Team destroyed 84,694 grams of dried marijuana ready for distribution. All the illicit goods were destroyed by incinerating it on Lahan Garapan Street, Percut Sei Tuan District, Friday (21/10/22). The evidence was confiscated from 9 couriers who were secured from last month until early this month.

Medan Police Chief Commissioner Valentino Alfa Tatareda, explained that all evidence was found by the police from their disclosures in different places. On Wednesday (21/9/22) afternoon, the police managed to arrest HS (26) with evidence of 46 kg of dried marijuana at the Sri Gunting Housing Complex, Deli Serdang Regency.

“In another place, we arrest RF (41) on Merak Jingga street, Friday (23/9/22) night. From RF, we found 32 kg of marijuana. Then, on Wednesday (28/9/22) night, we arrested JA (41) and MA (23). From the two perpetrators, we found 40 kg of dried marijuana. Then, on Friday (30/9/22) morning, the Medan Police Narcotics Unit again arrested another two suspects, LD (24) and FT (26). From the two of them, the police secured 2 kg of marijuana," said Police Commissioner Valentino, quoted from indofact.com.

Furthermore, added the Medan Police Chief, on Monday (10/10/22) afternoon, the police confiscated 32 kg of dried marijuana found by residents. Elsewhere, the police conducted raids and arrested T (44) and MA (21) in a shop with 1 kg of marijuana on Monday (10/10/22) afternoon. Then, on Wednesday (12/10/22) afternoon, the police received a report from a courier agency employee that there was 1 package of dried marijuana weighing 1 kg with the sender initials Z and the recipient with the initials IA heading to Tegal Manggah, Bogor City.

“Lastly, the Medan Police Narcotics Unit conducted a raid and arrested S (41) with 1050 grams of dried marijuana as evidence. The 9 suspects will be charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) Subs 111 paragraph (2) of the RI Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics," concluded Medan Police Chief in his remarks at the location.
