The West Jakarta Metro Police destroyed the evidence of 650 kg of marijuana and 4.8 kilograms of methamphetamine at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital, Central Jakarta, Thursday (11/10/22).
The drug evidence, worth Rp11 billion, was also carried out during the commemoration of Heroes' Day in 2022.
West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Pasma Royce said the extermination was the result of various drugs confiscation by Drugs Investigation Team from 5 cases, from July to October 2022 with 14 suspects.
The destruction is carried out by using an incinerator.
"This is a form of our commitment in fighting drugs. Because these drugs can harm the younger generation. Drugs are a common enemy that must be fought together. Therefore, these drugs must be paid attention from all of us," explained the Head of the West Jakarta Metro Police, quoted from moldkijakarta.id.
