Bima City Police Confiscated 520 Bottles of Liquor

The Cobra Alpha Team of Bima City Police Drugs Research Unit, seized 520 of medium-sized bottles of traditional Balinese alcoholic drink. The liquor was confiscated from a freight forwarder truck.

Head of the Bima City Police AKBP Rohadi, explained that the alcohol was confiscated when his party held an confiscation operation. This activity was carried out as an effort to maintain the security situation ahead of the 2022 Christmas and 2023 New Year Eve.

"From the results of our interrogation, the items belonged to a person from Woha, Bima Regency with the initials IA (38)," said the Bima City Police Chief, reported by elshinta.com, Thursday (12/8).

According to the Bima City Police Chief, this step is part of his party's efforts to suppress criminal acts ahead of the end of the year, which people usually celebrates it with alcoholic beverages. Moreover, this confiscation is based on the Regional Regulation of the City of Bima Number 8 of 2010 concerning the Control and Supervision of Alcoholic Beverages.
