Police Able to Disclose Two Cases of Drugs Abuse in West Nusa Tenggara

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - NTB. In an effort to prevent the circulation of drugs in the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), the NTB Police's Directorate of Drug Investigation (Dirresnarkoba) Operational team succeeded in uncovering two cases of drugs abuse by securing three suspected perpetrators.

Stated by the Head of NTB Police Public Relations, Commissioner Artanto, accompanied by the Director of Drugs Investigation Unit, Commissioner Deddy Supriade, stated that the case begun after there was report from the public on drug trafficking activity.

Commissioner Artanto stated that on September 1st, 2022, the police able to arrest a suspect with the initials of RF (31) in a communion of Selagalas, Sandubaya, Mataram City.

“RF, who came from North Sumatra was arrested after we found methamphetamine weighing 230.53 grams gross and 88 pills of ecstasy in his room. The drugs were secured at the Drugs Investigation Directorate of the NTB Police HQ," explained the Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police.

The Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police added that when he was arrested, RF was in one of the rooms of Selagalas communion. Besides RP, there were two other people.

"However, when they were examined, they were both only users and are currently in rehabilitation, while the RF process still continues," explained the Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police.

Then from the results of the development of the RF, which is also a recidivist on the Drug Case, it was revealed that there were other suspects in the NTB.

"From the results of the investigation, we have gained an information regarding the whereabouts of the other suspect in question," explained the Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police.

Then the second case was carried out at a boarding houses in the Selagalas neighborhood, Sandubaya, Mataram City. “And we have secured two suspects who lived in that boarding house, a man and a woman,” said Commissioner Artanto.

The two suspects who were arrested are DKP, a man (36) from West Lombok, and a woman with the initials ACP (35 from West Java. “The two stated that they are not married, but admits that they are in a relationship,” adds Commissioner Artanto.

According to the Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, the police had confiscated methamphetamine weighing 5.02 grams which was immediately secured along with several other pieces of evidence such as communication tools, consumption tools, as well as a sum of money suspected of being the proceeds of drug transactions.

“Currently DKP, ACT, and RF recidivists are being secured at the NTB Police for further processing. All suspects are threatened with articles 114, 112 of Law 35 of 2009 on Narcotics with a maximum threat of 20 years in prison," explained the Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police.
