Tribratanews.polri.go.id - A drug courier was arrested by the Units of Drug Investigation of the Nunukan Police, North Kalimantan. The man with the initials P was apparently promised a salary of Rp15 million per smuggling.
The arrest was in coordination with the Indonesian Army, and thanks to the information given by the community regarding the smuggling of methamphetamine from Malaysia to Sebatik. The joint unit managed to confiscate a kilogram of methamphetamine from the suspect.
"We got an information from the public that P was going to cross to Sebatik carrying methamphetamine with a weight of approximately 1 kg," said Head of the Nunukan Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, Iptu Muhammad Ibnu Robbani.
Suspect P himself is known to be a resident of Sebatik. He apparently had twice escaped the police when smuggling the drugs. The wages are also tempting, which is Rp15 million per smuggling.
Suspect P got the goods from F, whose from Bergosong, Malaysia. Furthermore, the units then went to arrest the buyer with the initials N who was in Tanjung Aru Village, East Sebatik District.
"The suspect will be charged with Article 114 paragraph (2), subsidiary to Article 112 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 regarding Drugs violations," he explained.
