“This arrest is the result of our hard work. Finally, the joint team managed to arrest four perpetrators who killed the victim by stabbing,” explained the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Medan Polcie, Commissioner Teuku Fathir Mustafa, Tuesday (10/18).
Commissioner Teuku Fathir Mustafa explained that the victim was killed after being involved in a brawl on Sidomulyo Market 9 street, Bandar Klippa Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Sunday (10/16) at around 05:30 WIB. At that time, the suspects killed the victim using sharp weapons. As a result, the victim died with several wounds on his body.
“Based on our investigation, the incident was due to insults between two groups, which incite them and eventually triggers a brawl," explained the Head of Criminal Investigation of Medan Police.
Kotmpol Teuku Fathir emphasized that his party was still investigating the case. If they found any other parties involved in this murder case, they will move immediately to arrest the suspect.
"Currently, the perpetrator is being held at the Criminal Investigation Unit of Medan Police. The perpetrators were charged with Article 338, Article 170 in conjunction with Articles 55 and 56 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 9 years in prison," he said.
