The South Sumatra Police barred 10 illegal diesel fuel werehouses in Palembang City and Ogan Iliry City on Saturday (12/10).

Quoted from antaranews.com on Sunday (12/11), the Head of Sub-directorate of Certain Crimes of South Sumatra Police, AKBP Tito Dani, says that the ten werehouses were scattered around Palembang City and Ogan Ilir Regency.

AKBP Tito continued that the operation was conducted after police and government officials conducted an inspection to the two locations.

In those inspections, the police have found the werehouses stored 800 liters plastic drums and 200 liters iron drums.

DG, DR, MR, AR, ID, YP, and KH are suspected to be the owner of the werehouses in Palembang City, says police officials. Moreover, MAS, HD, and AN are also said to be the owner of the werehouses in Ogan Ilir Regency.

“They are cooperative in their examination. They all said that they stopped their operation two months ago, even some of them stated that they have not been operating since three years ago,” said AKBP Tito.

Added that the police did not found any solar fuel in the werehouse. The police only made a letter that contains their agreement not to store any fuels illegally anymore.

However, AKBP Tito stressed that they will still monitor the owners through Sub-directorate of Certain Crimes IV, and if they found the suspect broke the agreement, they will immediately secured and processed legally.
