The survey institute of Etos Institute released a survey of public opinion on the performance of the police in the jurisdiction of the North Sumatran Police (North Sumatra).
The result shows 81% of the people of North Sumatra were satisfied with the performance of the police, while 11% were dissatisfied, and others were abstain.
"The survey was conducted with 2,000 respondents spread across 25 districts in North Sumatra," said Etos Public Relations Officer, Ferlita Novianty in the release of the Etos survey result which was held at the RA Hotel, Jalan TB Simatupang, South Jakarta, Tuesday (21/06/22).
Public satisfaction with the ranks of the police in North Sumatra was boosted by public satisfaction with the performance of public relations which was considered optimal, followed by the increasing performance of the Propam, and third because of the fast performance of the Special Criminal Directorate of the North Sumatra Police.
General Chairperson of the Indonesian Police Friends (SPI), Fonda Tangguh, also stated that the North Sumatran Police Chief, Inspector General Panca Putra Simanjuntak, as one of the three great police officers. The other two are National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit and Riau Police Chief Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal.
The former Deputy Chairman of the KPK, Saut Situmorang, as a panelist for the discussion emphasized that the high level of public satisfaction with the North Sumatra Police is determined by the leadership of Inspector General Drs. R.Z. Panca Putra Simanjuntak, M.Sc.
The former Deputy Chairperson of the KPK said that the North Sumatran Police Chief was a former KPK official whose integrity was not in doubt.
Saut Situmorang hopes that the good performance of the North Sumatra Regional Police will inspire other Regional Polices. He appreciated the achievements of Inspector General Panca despite the challenges and issues of low salaries and allowances for police officers.
